Budget is a self-hosted household finance tool. You record financial activity manually; we do not connect to your bank, aggregate accounts, or move money on your behalf.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, two-factor codes, and passkeys secure. We will not unlock an account on your behalf.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Don't use the service for activity that would be unlawful where you live, or where our servers operate.
Don't attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape data you don't own, or run automated load against the service.
Don't upload malicious files. Attachments are limited to image and PDF MIME types and a 10 MB size cap.
You retain all rights to the data you put into Budget. We hold a limited license only to display it back to you and the household members you invite.
You can export your data at any time via Settings → Export data, or by downloading per-account archives from each account's edit page.
Reports, budgets, and any other surface in this product are tools for tracking, not financial advice. Do not treat anything in the app as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. We may take the service down for maintenance with or without notice.
If you self-host, your uptime is your own responsibility.
You can delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.
